When do you know it is time to build a team?

I love that term “Scope for Imagination” because I think it is so necessary in attaining a fulfilling and meaningful life. Every entrepreneurial journey begins in someone's imagination and I think somewhere along the way all of the ins and outs of running a business narrows your scope and you feel stuck in the mundane of what was once a dream!

 I think this is where the team comes in! Not that your team keeps you out of ALL of the mundane and tedious bits of business but it does allow you a spot to offload somethings, clear up some mental space, and eventually widen your scope to imagine something new! 

We understand how hard it can be to  make that first move  - we will have to share our “Hunger Games of The Bradford” story sometime that ensued when we hired our first full-time employee! It’s ridiculous when I look back at it now, but at the time, we just felt that we could not get it wrong! We felt like all of our future success hinged on hiring the right person and it was a lot of pressure! In some ways it is - but you will be there along the way, training and coaching them until they are where you need them to be. It’s an amazing feeling to realize that things are getting done, clients are being served, fires are being put out and you aren’t even in the mix. All of the sudden your mind starts to wander, you get another great idea, and you find your scope widening - and you start it all over again!
