Ethics in Business?

Owning a business can be hard, soul crushing, and seemingly unending at times. There are days that I work all day, get the kids fed and in bed, and work well into the night to get my list done! I have had to make numerous personal sacrifices personally to get to where we are today  - and you know what - I wouldn't change it! It’s part of the deal - the package deal that is entrepreneurship! 

There have been times when I am in the middle of it all and it hits me, just out of the blue, that one day I dreamed all of this ….At some point this was a pencil sketch on a napkin and a few words spoken to the universe - and here we are - hosting 100’s of people every weekend, employing some amazingly creative humans, and creating a life for my family that is more fulfilling and purposeful with each passing day. 

I say all of this because I know that I am in my lane - that I am doing what it is that I am supposed to be doing and it is simultaneously the best thing ever and so so hard! And I think that is normal! You can struggle with something and it can be fulfilling  to you at the same time. Lauren really hit the nail on the head with that! I think it is a common feeling amongst business owners and it is just “part of it” - don’t begrudge it - embrace it for what it is and know that it will all add up to your “sketch” one day. All of that struggle will make sense - and make for a hell of a story!
